Grubs are one of the most damaging types of lawn pests; an overpopulation will destroy your turf and lead to costly repairs. To check if you have a grub problem, peel back a square foot of turf in several areas of your lawn. If you see 6 or more grubs in each area, it may be time for action.

The Right Time To Apply Grub Control

In most cases it’s best to treat your lawn for grub worms in early summer and early fall. Different types of grub control applications help with different stages of grub worm growth. An early summer treatment is meant to kill grubs before they lay eggs and kill hatchlings if they do hatch. An early fall treatment is meant to kill live grubs.
